[After the reaction he'd had at the carnival, he wasn't feeling all that enthused for this. But he reminded himself that he'd promised, and he wanted to fulfill that promise. He sucks in a breath to steel himself, and then calls her.]

Er... happy birthday.

[An excited yip in the background - take it as Torpedo saying hi.]

[ white noise is heard for a bit, when Urotsuki finally responds - it doesn't last for too long, though, and she'll finally say something to the poor guy. ]

You can break promises when the person you made the promise to is crazy, I think that gives you a free pass.

[andallforone]

[He gives a weak sort of laugh.]

So you can break promises to me? Because I know I'm crazy to ask this...

[painsaw]

You're not crazy- just-... just... dumb.

[ its very half-hearted. ]

Yeah... I get that a lot.

[A happy bark, more of a yip, can be heard in the background.]

Um... Torpedo would kind of like to see Hayate.

[painsaw]

[ Hayate is frantically nibbling at her legs, tail wagging as he hears his brother in the background. pls mama pls. ]

...Hayate too.

[andallforone]

... How about we walk them at the playground? They should be big enough for that now, right? [After all, it's been about a month.]

[painsaw]

...sure, okay.

[ and she'll shut off the feed, immediately going over to his apartment. it doesn't take her too long until she's knocking on the door. ]

[andallforone]

[He opens his mouth to say goodbye to her - or well, something - but she's shut off the feed. Torpedo gambols around the floor, little nails clicking on anything that isn't tatami or carpet. When the door knocks, he goes nuts, yipping and bounding about excitedly. Anything excited the damn puppy... Yosuke had had a bit of difficulty with a spook he was trying to quietly avoid thanks to the little guy.

He opens the door to Urotsuki and manages to stop Torpedo from headbutting her ankles with his own foot, gently nudging him back.]

Um. Hey. I'll just - get my coat and his lead.

[painsaw]

Hey squirt.

[ even though Yosuke's holding him back, she'll (rather unladylikely) crouch down to hold out her hands to him to come to her if he wants to. Hayate starts to frantically wave his tail, nudging forward to try and get close to his brother as well. ]

[andallforone]

[Habit here has him keeping everything necessary close to the door, close to his shoes. He shoves his feet into them, slings on his jacket, and then pulls on his survival rucksack (he'll need to add more dried food sometime soon) and finally hooks the lead to Torpedo's collar.]

Okay. Allons-y, I guess!

[painsaw]

Where'd you learn French? You half too?

[ Hayate isn't on a leash, so he's all up in his brothers business sniffing at him and walking by his side. Urotsuki has nothing on her person aside from herself, it seems. ]

[andallforone]

... Oh. [He didn't... know that was French...]

Uhh... no. The best I can do is say what my name is in English.

[painsaw]

...it'd be the same thing.

[andallforone]

[He stares at her for a moment like she's joking, then it clicks and he laughs!] No, I mean like 'Hello, my name is'. That sort of thing!

[painsaw]

My name is Urotsuki.

[ aside from a bit of an accent, her English isn't half bad- obviously that blonde hair is natural. ]

[andallforone]

My name is Yosuke. [His is very accented, but he's not really that bad.] It's nice to meet you. [That one's a bit more hesitant.

Torpedo manages to catch his lead in his mouth and start to chew it.]

[painsaw]

Oh, banana? Hello?

[ now she's just bein' a shit. ]

Nice to meet you.

[andallforone]

[He frowns at 'banana', but then he notices Torpedo and he shakes the lead.] Hey! Quit that!
