[ at dusk nearby the apartments tonight, there is a small stall, lit up by lanterns outside an in behind the curtains covering the inside. a delicious smell comes off of it, and the coast seems to be clear around the stall. as the sun sets further, the light inside illuminates the shape of a small person... or creature, judging by the tall ears on top of its head.

[He stretches his arms up, glances over at the figure in the distance. It's a ghost kid, staring into the arcade store. Nothing to bother them, though slightly eerie. A crow on a nearby street light croaks at them before taking off.]

Y'know, it's almost peaceful.

[fraternal]

...yeah.

[ Garry glances skyward at the twilight all around them, before looking at the child in the distance as well.

...he reaches into his pocket, fingering his cigarettes - he'll have to wait until they get inside to smoke. ]

We cant let our guard down though...

[triggeringbiggering]

[He raises his hand as if to trace his scars, but of course he can't with the mask on and lowers them again.]

Heh. Yeah.

[fraternal]

I promise...I'll always have your back, Once'.

[triggeringbiggering]

[He pushes open the door for the apartments and holds it.]

Yeah, same.

[fraternal]

[ he smiles, under his mask, but of course it cant be seen - so he nods, and heads inside. ]

[triggeringbiggering]

[Following him in!]

[ he traces the peeling wallpaper with his fingers, keeping silent until they get to the stairs. his mind starts to race as he scales the stairs, and he'll stop at the door to the second floor. ]

You go up from here, I'll be fine heading down this much alone.

[triggeringbiggering]

[He looks at him.]

You okay?

[fraternal]

Yeah! Just fine - goodnight, Once'.

[triggeringbiggering]

[Well, Garry wouldn't lie. He waves.]

Okay, 'night!

[fraternal]

[ he'll close the door between the two of them, but pause after he does. ]

Once'?

[triggeringbiggering]

[He's already taken a few steps up, but he looks around.]

Yeah?

[fraternal]

I kind of wish you would- ask me out on a date. Not that this is really the best place-

[ a beat- ] --I guess I'm trying to say I like you.

[ another beat, then he's quickly walking towards his room. ]

Sorry, forget I said any of that- sleep well.

[triggeringbiggering]

[He stares for a while, stunned, until a hand curls around his shoulder and he yelps to shoot his way up to his room.
