[ action ]
[ at dusk nearby the apartments tonight, there is a small stall, lit up by lanterns outside an in behind the curtains covering the inside. a delicious smell comes off of it, and the coast seems to be clear around the stall. as the sun sets further, the light inside illuminates the shape of a small person... or creature, judging by the tall ears on top of its head.

To think he'd come down to check out of worry for something bad...]

Think something's in there...?

[ he'll push ahead of him, and moves closer, gripping his poker in hand and brushing aside the curtains ahead of them nervously. ]

[Viola peeps into the stand.]
It smells so good...!

Shiny?
[Her hand goes to one of her braids. She undoes the little tie - it's white, with little silver threads through the band.]
Will this do?

After all, the crows had saved her life, and if she could garner the favor of the fox spirit by leaving it offerings of food and trinkets at the shrine why wouldn't she? She'd needed as much help as she could get in this sinkhole.
But she also knew that even good things were often terrible things in disguise, and she lifted one of the flaps of the stall with one hand.]
Good evening?
no subject
So he slips out with her and catches up to her as she enters the stall.]
Hey, Mika. [He bites of the honourific like she'd told him, but it still feels a bit weird. They weren't that close, after all.]
Wow, this place sure smells good...
no subject
[Her smile is lopsided as she cocks her head at him, her ears twitching forward. Looking up at the fox spirit behind the counter, all she can do is smile a little.]
Doesn't it, though? I could smell it all the way inside, and followed it here. If there's one thing I'm willing to risk the outside for aside from supplies, it's good food.
[Her ears twitched, tail waving a little as she watched the kitsune, but lingered near the front of the stall, almost hesitant to get closer.]

His mouth drops open.]

Come, children. We shall investigate.

'Maybe they'll have some ingredients I can borrow.'
Of course, after that thought crosses his mind, it's quickly followed by the realization that there might be information even more valuable than food to be found here. He quickens his pace as he approaches the stall, a serious look on his face. ]

Good evening, one bowl for you boy?
no subject
Uh, I'm not sure I have anything to pay a kitsune for food with. I could help you clean up or something, though, and we could talk.

Clean dishes and pots?

Then again, she couldn't exactly leave the guy behind either, it's way too dangerous to be alone there, so she took him out with her there, peeking behind her at Fuyuhiko. ]
.. Will you be alright?

Also not to mention the fact that he's a big weenie about this sort of thing. Anything ghost like he'll probably jump and try to beat up- so if anything here pulls anything funny on him...]
Feh. I'll be fine. This thing shouldn't be that bad,
i was waiting for this..............
[ calling from inside the stall, is a voice that doesn't sound entirely human, even if its speaking their language. the sound of a lady scraping against a pot can be heard. ]
LMFAO I'M SORRY IT'S SO LATE stupid vacation wifi...
She swallows before speaking up. ]
Is it not poisoned, is it? [ It's pretty easy to guess what kind of bowl it would be with this kind of stand, after all.. ]
