[ at dusk nearby the apartments tonight, there is a small stall, lit up by lanterns outside an in behind the curtains covering the inside. a delicious smell comes off of it, and the coast seems to be clear around the stall. as the sun sets further, the light inside illuminates the shape of a small person... or creature, judging by the tall ears on top of its head.

[ she reaches over for the money with her paw, but cant quite reach it. ]

You can pay next time, [He grouses and shoves the coins over to her. With his other hand, he reaches up to pull off his gas mask.]

[ and she'll prepare a bowl for Once-ler too, handing it over. ]

[He accepts it but doesn't start eating right away.]

Huh? Yeah, it's nothing. [This in response to Garry.]

[ letS JUST KEEP EATING YEAH. ]

Well, we're not dating! Wouldn't you get shy if you kept being told you were on a date when you're not?

[He doesn't sound too fussed about that part of it, if truth be told.

The smell of the soup is almost too much, though.]

[ she levels Once-ler with a disapproving look before reaching over with some chopsticks and giving Garry a few fishcakes. ]

[ Garry just nods and smiles in his thanks - he gives up on words for now. he knows he should be savouring this, but he's eating far too quickly. its way too good. ]

[triggeringbiggering]

Why are you looking at me like that?! [He points his chopsticks at her accusingly.]

You headache, rich boy.

[triggeringbiggering]

[He growls and snatches up his chopsticks. He's not great with them, so he has to fiddle a bit to fit his hand into the unfamiliar poise for them. Then he's got it, and he picks up a bit of the aburaage.]

Yeah, well you're kinda...

[The smell is too good. He takes a bite, and his eyes go wide.]

... an... amazing cook?

[ she nods, clearly seeming pleased, if not also a bit crafty. ]

[He elbows Garry.]

Isn't this good?

Mmm? [ his mouth is full... ]

Mm-hmm!

[triggeringbiggering]

[He scruffs up the back of Garry's hair then hunkers down over his own bowl. It's been a long time since he's enjoyed any food here. It's hard to even remember to chew when he needs to!

[ a giggle - but she drops the teasing for now, and goes back to her prepping and cooking. ]

[ Garry just smiles shyly and fixes his hair with one hand, glancing over at how Once-ler's holding his chopsticks... ]

Here, hold it more like this, Once'- [ he holds up his own chopsticks. ]

[triggeringbiggering]

Huh? [He blinks in surprise, then adjusts his grip to the way Garry is holding his.] Like that?

[fraternal]

Yeah, and you move the top finger, not the bottom.

[ he shows him by flexing the chopsticks




and stealing one of his noodles. ]

Hey! Nuh-uh, just because you're eating them too fast!

[He attempts to swipe one of Garry's.]

But they're so good...! [ he's finally smiling again though, and waves his hand at the Kitsune, letting Once-ler take as many as he wants. ]

Could we get too more bowls? I don't have much money, but I can give you some sweets?
